You are worthy because God said so!

As a child of God, we may sometimes feel as though we are undeserving of all the many blessings God bestows upon us. Feelings of doubt, unworthiness, or simply the fact that we sometimes fall short, may cause condemnation to creep into our minds. However, the truth of the matter is, we are worthy of all of God's blessings simply because we are His children. We are accepted by Him, we are covered by the Blood of Jesus and He loves us with His unconditional love!

In the Bible, we see numerous examples of God's love and provision for His people. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This verse shows us that God has good things in store for us, things that will bring us hope, joy, and fulfillment.

But how can we be sure that we are worthy of these blessings? The answer lies in our identity as children of God. When we become followers of Jesus, we are adopted into God's family and become His children. Romans 8:16-17 says, "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ Jesus."

This means that we have a rightful claim to all of God's blessings, just as a child has a rightful claim to the inheritance of their parents. We don't have to earn these blessings or prove ourselves worthy of them; they are ours simply because of our relationship with God.

Of course, this doesn't mean that we can sit back and do nothing. We are called to live a life that reflects our identity as children of God, to follow Jesus, and obey His commands. But even when we fall short, even when we make mistakes or struggle with sin, we can be confident that God's love and grace are still available to us. I John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. God's help is always available to us! Hallelujah!

In fact, it's often in our weaknesses and struggles that we see God's blessings, provisions, and His power more clearly. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

So if you're feeling unworthy of God's blessings today, remember that your worthiness does not come from your own merit or accomplishments. You are worthy simply because you are His child, and all of His blessings are yours to claim. Trust in His love, grace, and power, and walk confidently in the knowledge that you are His beloved.
